An officer was injured when her patrol car was hit by a drunk driver, according to Houston police.
Investigators said Officer V. Tewell was responding to call when she was traveling south on McCarty Street around 8 p.m. Sunday.
That is when Luis Banegas-Brito, 25, ran a stop sign on Kerr Street and McCarty Street, crashing into the officer’s passenger side door, police said.
