A House committee approved a bill Wednesday that would require drivers to move over or slow down when government or company utility vehicles are parked on the side of the road.
The legislation, sponsored by Sen. Dick Brewbaker, R-Montgomery, expands on the state’s “Move Over” law requiring motorists to vacate traffic lanes for law enforcement, emergency vehicles or tow trucks flashing their lights on the side of the road.
