‘Move Over’ law could include utility vehicles

 

slow down move over FirePoliceA House committee approved a bill Wednesday that would re­quire drivers to move over or slow down when government or company utility vehicles are park­ed on the side of the road.

The legislation, sponsored by Sen. Dick Brewbaker, R-Mont­gomery, expands on the state’s “Move Over” law requiring motor­ists to vacate traffic lanes for law enforcement, emergency vehicles or tow trucks flashing their lights on the side of the road.
