Albemarle County police are reminding drivers to change lanes to give clearance to officers on roadsides.
Since 1999, more than 160 law enforcement officers have been killed nationwide after being struck by vehicles on America’s highways, according to a news release from county police.Virginia is one of 49 states with a “move over” law, which also covers flashing amber lights for construction workers and tow-truck drivers.
