State trooper injured during I-29 traffic assist

 

A South Dakota Highway Patrol trooper responding to debris on Interstate 29 was injured Friday after her vehicle was struck by another motorist.

Lyndsey Dubbelde, a trooper stationed in the Sioux Falls district, had responded at 5:23 p.m. to an area south of the Dell Rapids exit, where boxes were scattered on the interstate, according to news releases from the South Dakota Highway Patrol and the Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office.
